You’ve struggled with self-doubt, insecurity, and shame. You’ve had difficulty making decisions and identifying what you need and want. You’ve found yourself people-pleasing, getting stuck in the same relationship cycles, avoiding making changes because it’s too overwhelming. It feels like no one understands and that you’re alone.
But you are not alone. I will come alongside you to navigate your current struggles and help you make sense of how you feel. We will gently heal past trauma and approach your experiences with curiosity and acceptance. You’ll learn skills to cope and take steps to better mental health.

Many people have experienced trauma/s at some point in their lives. Most often, you are gradually able to heal from trauma/s and move forward in your life. But sometimes past events feel like they are still affecting you today. You may have frequent panic attacks, avoid specific situations and places, have nightmares, or just be unable to stop thinking about what happened. Some trauma may even be difficult to describe if they occurred when you were very young.
We will gently explore your past and help you feel safe again. Using EMDR Therapy, we will process through what arises so that the past can stay in the past and you can feel relief. We will build upon the resiliency you’ve already developed in your life and find tools to manage triggers in the future.

Helping couples work through distress and create more intimacy
Relationships are hard. Whether you’ve been together a year or decades, everyone experiences distress at some point. In fact, conflict can often mean that your relationship is ready for growth.
You may feel emotionally disconnected, have faced infidelity, struggled with sexual issues. Parenthood, loss, illness, or just the normal stressors of life all impact the health of your relationship. Oftentimes, you don’t know what to do to navigate these stressors. Relationship expertise is not something you obtain in school.
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) along with concepts from Imago Relationship Therapy and the Gottman Method, you will be guided in how to resolve conflict and create deeper intimacy. I will help you identify the negative cycles that aren’t working and teach you how to you change them. I will help you have deeper understanding of your differences and foster compassion for your partner’s uniqueness. You will gain valuable tools for effective communication. You can have a relationship that’s not just surviving but actually thriving.
